What to expect?

What to expect?

If you are considering Levoplant™, here is what you should know:

First of all, you will be protected from unwanted pregnancy for 3 years

You will be able to enjoy your daily activities free from worry

If you would like to jump into the motherhood adventure, once the implant removed, there is an immediate return to fertility

There are many benefits from using Levoplant™

but here is what to expect during the introduction and removal of the implants:

First, you should take an appointment with your doctor to make sure Levoplant™ is a contraception that is adapted to you.

Before any insertion, the doctor will explain to you the procedure and will answer any of your question. You will also be asked clean and rinse your arm.

After a local anesthesia of your arm, you will have to wait approximately 5 minutes for it to be effective.

A small incision will then be made by the doctor to introduce on a “V” pattern both rods of the implant thanks to a trocar.

After the insertion, the doctor will close the incision using a sterile gauze or bandage.

If necessary, your doctor will book another appointment for a control visit.

After 3 years of effectiveness, you’ll have to take another appointment with your doctor to remove or reinsert the Levoplant implant, according to what is best for you. If you are willing to become pregnant, you will be back to fertility immediately after removal. If you are not ready to jump into motherhood, once inserted, you will be protected within 7 days. If you did the insertion during your period, you will be protected immediately.

Ready… set… go!
You can now live your life to the fullest!
